French Pharmacies, Losing My Sephora Virginity, Beauty Haul & a Parisian Flu

Hellooo lovelies.
I'm ashamed at how long it's been since my last post! As you can see from my post title, August has been a hectic month from moving home for the summer to repacking for a last minute flight to Paris!
I was only in Paris for 5 days attending a wedding so I didn't get to see or do much; I did however get to sneak in a few beauty purchases!

One thing which I loved about buying beauty products in Paris was receiving samples. When shopping on the high street, I don't usually get samples unless I've reached a minimum spend or something. I appreciate that sometimes counters may be low on stock or that some customers take advantage of freebies; however employees can also be real snotty about handing out samples which makes us customers feel embarrassed to ask and it really sucks! I purchased one item from Yves Rocher, got home and I realized I'd been given about 4 samples.

I purchased two MAC lipsticks in Duty Free on the way to Paris in the shades Plumful (top) and Creme in Your Coffee (bottom). There were some other things I wanted to pick; however, I only had about 10 minutes till the gate opened. FYI guys, Gatwick Duty Free MAC do not sell any pigments!

I was given the Yves Rocher makeup as a gift from my lovely aunt, who also took me to my first French pharmacy. Yves Rocher is like a French version of The Body Shop with skin friendly products & lovely perfumes. I haven't tried any of the beauty products yet so I have no idea what to expect, but I came home and found out they ship to the UK so some good news there!

In the airport, I also picked up the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lip Creams in the shades Hot Pepper, Frambourjoise and Grand Cru. They were on 3 for 2 and I have no excuse for my purchase... I just wanted them ^-^

We went for a quick visit to Forum Des Halles which is like a smaller version of Westfield for those of you who have ever been there. They had MAC, Kiko, Sephora, H&M and a few other shops which I've forgotten about. I didn't get to spend much time in Sephora as we had to run home to get ready for the wedding but my cousin told me not to worry as there was a Sephora in the airport... But there wasn't... I was sad...

I haven't gone into detail with the products mainly because I'm going to be doing individual reviews once I've used them more. There were so many more things I wanted to try, buy and visit; however with such little time on my hands & so much to do, it could only mean one thing...

Another trip to Paris is definitely due!

SUMMARY OF MY TRIP

Wrongly assumed our flight was 2 hours long & reached Paris in 45 minutes

Old grandma's and aunties in the wedding questioning my dad and I about when I'm going to get married (cheeky mares, I'm only 20 FGS!)

Broke my Sephora virginity

Learned that most people in Paris look and smell good

Took an hour long stroll to the Eiffel Tower but didn't have time to actually visit it (what a tease)

Caught the flu on my last day in Paris :(

Stay tuned for full reviews & swatches of these products!
Keeks x
