MY THOUGHTS

(Prepare for the babbling...)
I've owned the C9 Touch for about 6 months now and I'm absolutely in love (sincere apologies to my beloved Babyliss irons). It's innovative, easy to use and really lightweight so I have no problem taking it along when travelling to and from uni. Using it is so simple, there are no extra attachments required and everyone who has seen my straighteners has oo-ed and ahh-ed. The button-less feature is a unique and appealing function; tapping the plates together once gets the heat going instantly and two to three taps adjusts the temperature. The most amazing part is that the after 30 seconds of inactivity, the C9 touch is automatically disabled but will heat up instantly when you start using it again. This makes it so much more safer for first time users, family friendly homes, and  extremely forgetful people like me!

However, one thing which may bother some people is that the Touch only has 2 heat settings as opposed to their other irons, which is a little disappointing as my previous straighteners had 3. I think this is because Cloud 9 have a 'less heat, more style' philosophy towards their products. I also didn't get a heat mat with the Touch, however I believe that this is now included with all C9 irons. The price tag is quite decent for how unique and innovative the straighteners are; but I do think they could look and feel a bit more luxurious as they look quite plain for such a cool pair of straighteners.

Batiste Dry Conditioning Mist

I was given the Batiste Conditioning Mist in a care package a few months back and it has become a sequel to the infamous Dry Shampoos (read more). After discovering the existence of dry shampoos, I assumed things couldn't get better in the hair department in terms of quick and easy styling. Batiste, however, have proven me wrong yet again. How amazing is it that the product which eliminates excess oil from the scalp have created has a part two which eliminates dryness from the ends?!

I have that greasy roots but dry ends kinda hair and this is the perfect in between product. Using serums post dry shampoo makes my locks really greasy and if I go cold turkey, my ends are straw dry. The mist leaves my hair feeling softer, more manageable but without the heaviness of a hair serum.

TIPS
•  This product is intended for dry hair (not wet)
• May work for thin/thick hair with dry, brittle ends, frizz or flyaways
• Non-greasy compared to serums and hair oils
• Perfect compliment to the original dry shampoos; however may appear a little greasy if combined with Batiste Strength & Shine, Care & Vitality or Nourish & Enrich as they all hold moistening properties.

Sunday Steals: Sleek Eau La La Liners

It's finally spring!
What better way to start off March than with a fabulous Sunday steal? I found these Sleek liners on the Boots website and I AM IN LOVE. Searching for the continuously sold out MAC liners have been such a mission but these babies have put my search to a halt. The Sleek Eau La La liners come in 12 different colours and retail for £4.99.

PRICE

Sleek are known for their amazingly pigmented products at affordable prices and these liners have not let me down. I purchased the Eau La La liners when they were on offer and the cost of buying these 4 liners together ended up cheaper than one MAC lip pencil so I was definitely impressed with the price.

QUALITY

The liners claim to be both water and smudge proof and where I find that this isn't 100% accurate, I can admit that they are somewhat water/smudge resistant. The formula is creamy when applied and sets to a matte finish. The colors are also very pigmented and when used as a lip liner, doesn't feather around the mouth.

OVERALL

I am beyond impressed with these liners and the versatility of the product itself. The liners can be used on the lips or on the eyes, with a variety of colors to compliment this. I purchased the shades Lingerie, Dragon Fruit, Venom and Raisin which are all great colours - my faves are Lingerie (perfect for day wear) and Raisin (the perfect companion for my MAC Rebel). I cannot wait to try some the remaining shades, possibly noir as a khol liner?
